Thus, the real issue when it comes to indoor allergens is to keep one’’s carpets and rugs clean and the real issue in keeping them clean is the type of cleaning they receive.

All carpet and rug cleaning involves water. But except for those small rugs that may be safely tossed in a washing machine it is not a simple matter of merely wetting them with water. What is needed is steam cleaning, of which are there two types. Regular or old fashioned carpet steam cleaning does indeed leave one’’s carpeting fairly wet. Newer vapor steam cleaning, however, does not. This form of steam cleaning involves internal boilers in the machine which heat up water to generate a fine mist that is no more than just six percent water. But because the vapor particles are so fine, much smaller than the water droplets employed in conventional steam cleaning, it is possible to clean in tighter spots.

Moreover, vapor steam cleaning involves no chemicals, unlike regular steam cleaning, so the practice has actually become marketable under the label of “green cleaning”. Lastly, because no chemicals are used, this means no chemicals need to be stored, another reason why vapor steam cleaning is the superior choice for most practical applications. Do not waste time with conventional means; use only vapor steam cleaning to maintain carpet health and hygiene!
