Have you ever imagined yourself being asked to create your own solar panels? This article will try to help you make one. Solar panels, at first glance, look very complicated, but actually, making them is so simple. The solar panel is a device that converts solar energy into electrical energy. A typical commercial solar panel is made from silicon.

In order to create your own solar panels you will need the following materials and tools. First you have to secure about 36 square inch of copper flashing. You will use copper instead of silicon for your solar cells. A 1000 watts electric stove, a large mouth glass jar, one cup of table salt, tap water are also needed. As for the tools, you will use a sheet metal shears, sand papers, wires and two alligator clips. A multi-meter will be very useful in regulating and monitoring the electrical output.

The first step is to clean the copper sheet thoroughly. Make sure that it is free from grease and oil. You may use sand paper for this. Then put it on top of the electric stove. Turn on the stove to High. As the copper heats up, you will notice some transformations and changing of colors. After about half an hour, turn off the stove and let the copper sheet cool down to room temperature. When it is already cold, then you have to clean the copper sheet again.

Create your own solar panels by combining a number of solar cells. You will need your burned copper sheet for this. Cut another copper sheet about the same size of the burned copper. Get your glass jar. Bend the two copper sheets and insert them inside the jar. Do it carefully making sure that they do not touch one another. Attach the alligator clips to each copper plate. The alligator clip attached to the clean copper plate must be connected to the positive terminal of your multi-tester. The other clip must be connected to the burned copper plate.

The next step is to prepare a salt solution. Mix the salt to tap water. Stir thoroughly until all the salt dissolves into the water. Pour the water into the jar. The salt solution must not cover the plates completely so that you can make adjustments later on when touching the water.

The complete set up is now ready to use. You now have a solar battery. If you can duplicate this setup and connect the wires in parallel, then you will have greater energy. This solar energy will be enough to light a single dwelling house. You may also put these solar panels on the roof for maximum exposure.

What are you waiting for? Create your own solar panels now.

Just because your kitchen is small, that does not mean it has to be short on style. In fact, since it is diminutive, it may be a perfect candidate for a cottage style makeover. Cottage style is big on detail, so the compact size of your kitchen lets you add eye-appealing accessories to every nook and cranny and it is just the right size for the cozy atmosphere that is a hallmark of the style. If your kitchen has vintage painted cabinetry with open shelving, all the better because you can use this space to create stylish vignettes of acquired cottage clutter using collectibles, old glasses and dishes, bric-a-brac, cookbooks and old kitchen gadgets and cookware.

Here are some tips for bringing cottage style to life in your little kitchen.

Cottage Colors
Think first about cottage colors when planning your makeover. Cottage style can embrace one of several style motifs: Country cottage leans on farmhouse colors like barn red, fresh green or sage green, tan, cream and slate blue. English country cottage is more focused on pastels, such a lemony yellow, rose pink, lavender, delphinium blue and Delft china blue. Cottage style with a shabby chic twist has a similar reliance on pastels but colors are more muted and aged with distressed creamy white balancing the color act and uniting the entire palette. If you love nautical style, a seaside cottage kitchen would feature sea green, sky blue, lots of crisp white with khaki and red, as well as deeper blue, green and yellow for accents.

A Once-Over for your Cabinets
Now that you have nailed down your color palette think about how you can use color to give your cabinets fresh cottage appeal. Of course painting them a silky shade of off-white is an idea solution for any of the above mentioned styles: Beaded board cabinets lend a farmhouse or English cottage look, distressed white is so shabby chic and white is a perfect foil for the blues and greens of a seaside cottage.

You can also try rag rolling, sponging, crackle finishes or other faux painting methods to give your cabinets an antique look. Decoupage cabinet faces with old photos or vintage papers to add Victorian appeal or consider adding feet, corbels and molding to cabinets to make them look like built-in furniture. Glass-fronted cabinets are a popular look for cottage kitchens where Depression glass or other antique dishware begs to be displayed and it is easy to replace wood paneled cabinet fronts with glass. Arrange a few colorful linen tea towels or lace runners, letting them drape over the fronts of shelves, to add a little color and attitude to your glass front cabinet or open style display shelving.

Finishing Accents in Cottage Style
What makes cottage style so fun, affordable and personal is that you can accessorize with vintage and found items and create any look you like. Browse local antique stores frequently and you will soon be drawn to items that grab your attention: For some people, it is salt and pepper shakers from the 1940s; someone else may collect ironstone pottery or yelloware, whereas another person may love fiesta ware dishes, colorful barnyard roosters, tea pots or vintage English china to hang on the wall.

Cottage style is all about mixing and matching, nothing should be too perfectly synchronized; when choosing fabrics and accessories, mix colors and patterns, adding stripes and checks with florals and chintz. Now just make things comfy and cozy with a cushy rag rug in front of the sink, potted herbs and flowers in the windowsill, pretty colorful curtain toppers, seat cushions, and a chalkboard to display todays comfort food menu.

What was once considered no more than a minor inconvenience, identity theft is now a prominent issue for individuals and law enforcement agencies alike. Practicing pro-active and commonsense routines when conducting financial transactions by any means other than cash can go along way in preventing identity theft.

Identity theft is an insidious crime that has expanded exponentially throughout the globe. Far from being a victimless crime, identity theft can have a serious, detrimental impact on your life and can lead to months, and even years of frustration and humiliation.

When someone uses your personal identification documentation in order impersonate you for any reason, this is known as identity theft. Professional identity thieves are proficient at assuming any given identity and the rapidity with which they can destroy another life is mind boggling, to say the least. Should you fall victim to this criminal element, your life can become a living nightmare. By being vigilant in all your financial dealings, you can protect yourself from these identity kidnappers; however, the onus is on you to make sure you are taking all the steps necessary to protect yourself from identity theft.

Identity thieves are constantly on the lookout for the seemingly innocent transaction that, in reality, offers a goldmine of personal information that can be used to assume another’’s identity. Protecting yourself from identity theft should be uppermost in your mind at all times and you should always be vigilant in protecting your identity. The following is a list of things you should consider in order to prevent identity theft:

Always make sure you retain all copies of your credit card receipts when presenting your card for payment. Avoid handing your card over to a server in a restaurant. Ask that the transaction be completed in plain sight so you can keep a careful eye on your credit card information. Adept identity thieves can procure all kinds of personal information about you with little more than one credit card number.

Don”t let mail accumulate in your mailbox. Identity thieves are constantly on the lookout for mailboxes that may contain pre-approved credit card offerings; these offer easy pickings to a skilled thief as the application can be completed (with a change of address), mailed in to the credit card company, and voila, instant access to your credit. You will be oblivious until the bills for purchases you never made start to roll in.

Always cross-shred any documentation showing your personal information before throwing it in the garbage. Dumpster diving has become an easy and lucrative method of obtaining personal information and, again, you will not even be aware that you have been victimized until the bills catch up with you.

Never leave documents containing sensitive, personal information (like payroll receipts) lying around in plain sight. Although credit card fraud is the most common method of identity theft, skilled scam artists can capture your identity in a variety of seemingly mundane ways. Once these unscrupulous characters get access to your social security number, look out - the identity thief now has all the information he needs to merrily rack up thousands of dollars of debt in your name.

Use caution when releasing personal information to third parties. Never give out your banking information or social security number over the phone or on the Internet.

Never reply to any email, no matter how official looking, that requests banking or financial information. There are teams of criminals in cyberspace who make their living from unsuspecting users who reveal sensitive information obtained through fraudulent emails. This is called pshishing and can sometimes be so elaborately constructed that most people think it’’s the real McCoy. Reputable, legitimate business will never ask you to disclose sensitive information either over the phone or in an email.

Never reveal the password of your banking cards to anyone.

Change the password for your banking information regularly. This includes your Internet banking, as hackers have been known to access this information by “mirroring” keystrokes and reproducing them for their own gain.

Keep personal information to a minimum when signing up for any online offers.

Protecting yourself from identity theft is one of these things that will probably never cross your mind unless and until it happens to you or someone you know. Don”t wait to become a victim. By practicing some commonsense safeguards and remaining vigilant at all times, you will be able to protect yourself from the ever-growing contingent of identity thieves who thrive on taking advantage of others.

If there is one modern luxury to be enjoyed in the home that most people find refuge in each day-it has to be bathroom suites. Many people after a long days work retreat to their bathroom to find peace and quiet. Here in this article we shall look at the extra things you can do to make your bathroom that little bit more special.

When you get in and run your bath water usually the temptation is to have the bath water really hot, but hot water is really hard on the skin. It is better to have warm water as this is better for your skin ad you will notice a difference. If you have normal to dry skin then adding some bath oil that contains, almond, olive or sunflower oil. Skin that suffers from blemishes will benefit from a tiny amount of bubble bath or gel, oil is not recommended on the skin.

Light scented in bathroom suites creates a really relaxing atmosphere, place them in front of mirrors and so that the light will flicker in the room. An oil burner is also a fantastic way to add a pleasant and relaxing fragrance to your bathroom and will keep a lovely fragrance in the room for a few days after. Once in the bathroom make sure you turn off all the lights or turn then down and enjoy the warm bath in the pretty candlelight.

Keep fresh bath towels in the bathroom so you can prop up your head and feel totally relaxed in your ”me time”. Face packs are also ideal to do in bathroom suites as spilling it accidently on a tile floor is not much of a problem compared to carpeted floors. Whilst you are soaking up the calm and exfoliating you can leave a mask on your face. Face masks will leave your skin feeling fresh, clear and ready for the next day ahead. Masks with vitamin C are ideal if you have felt run down at all or had a late night the evening before.

As tempting as it is sometimes to stay in relaxing bathroom suites forever, ideally you should not bathe for longer than 15-20 minutes. Soaking for long periods in hot water can be damaging for the skin and oversaturation of the skin can mean that its immune/healing response will be affected. It will also make your retreat that bit better and will probably be the part of your day you look forward to the most.

Houston home garden design constitutes the very life force of a landscape. The presence of living, growing plants and flowers adds a dynamic element to one’’s lifestyle in a way that distinguishes outdoor living from indoor living. Perhaps the greatest benefit it offers is a link between the home and the natural environment that preserves the integrity and the uniqueness of the natural realm.

Gardens support the architecture of the house and help generate a comfortable transition from indoors to outdoors. The absence of garden plants will often create too stark a contrast between the house and the surrounding landscape. Adding greenery generates a comfortable outdoor living space for the homeowner that feels warm, inviting, and refreshing.

This is why most gardens are planted right up against the house. When the homeowner steps beyond the threshold of the home, there is an immediate change in energy. The predominance of organic elements opens the mind to outdoor experiences, and it sets the tone for the entire landscape.

To a very large extent, Houston home garden design is based on what Houstonians plan to be doing in their yards. Landscape designers spend a great deal of time in consultation with clients in order to understand their intentions on how different spaces will be used.

Outdoor spaces are subsequently shaped in accordance with the activities that will be hosted within them. Understanding as many specifics as possible about a given activity and how many people will be attending various events helps design teams develop aesthetic and functional garden elements.

Virtually any outdoor structure or special are can be home to a garden of some sort. One of the advantages that Houston offers the homeowner is nice weather for 9 months out of the year. Spas, living rooms, pools, and canopy-covered can create environments that are pleasing to guests. Such places can be standing areas or seating areas where people can gather together for wine or coffee and enjoy weather.

Houston home and garden design also incorporates the construction of advanced outdoor buildings such as outdoor living rooms and outdoor terraces. These are highly sophisticated architectural features that introduce a very powerful inorganic presence into a yard.

Planting gardens in front of these buildings and to either side of their walls makes will soften their architecture and more harmoniously blend its geometry into the surrounding fabric of the landscape.

Houston home and gardens can also be used to develop multiple landscape elements in a large yard. Larger yards will often exceed 3 acres in wealthier neighborhoods. They are characterized by a great deal of open space in the middle and back of the property.

Such areas present a number of opportunities for landscapers to build patios, construct lighted trails, build ponds and fountains, and construct outdoor rooms and buildings. Gardens in all of these areas can be much less formal and more freeform in design compared to those nearer the house.

As guests move away from the home toward an outdoor fireplace, a quiet morning garden, or a canopy-covered patio in the rear of the property, the wilder elements of nature will function as an invitation to escape from the pressures of life inherent to the structured lifestyles of daily life and indoor living.

Luxury houses come in various architectural styles to allow you the convenience of choosing a home that matches your style. For those that have a large budget, custom two story homes will give you endless opportunities for making your dream home come true. Guest suites, studies or libraries, and as many bathrooms and bedrooms that you want can all be designed to flow together gracefully while providing you with the amount of space you want from your house.

Custom Two Story Houses Feature Unique Characteristics for Homeowners.
Unlike house plans that have already been designed by an architect, custom home plans give the owners a chance to collaborate with designers in order to incorporate the many different qualities they want from their house. Mediterranean, Colonial, European, and Traditional architecture are only a few examples of designs that can be created in a grand style. Green living is another aspect many luxury home owners are taking seriously. Not only are they choosing nontoxic building materials, they”re buying high-end energy appliances, renewable woods, and recycled glass for their gourmet kitchens.

Luxury homes can be found in upscale city neighborhoods as well as in a country area with more square footage available. Either way, the homeowner will have the chance of designing a home that offers a finesse that others will envy. Residential designers will use the amount of space available to give the homeowners the areas they want with the latest trends, including versatile rooms with high-tech appliances that use green living techniques.

Proprietors Given Endless Possibilities with Luxury two story Home Plans.
This type of homeowner generally wants the amenities they can find in upscale resorts and spas in their own home for convenience and privacy. Therefore, master bathrooms can include steam showers, heated floors, and deep soaking tubs. Fitness rooms can have a massage corner, refreshment area, and lap pool. Mild climates allow luxury two story houses to have outdoor kitchens and entertainment areas which give owners and their guests a resort-like atmosphere with the privacy everyone wants to maintain.

Versatile living areas have become more popular as people build luxury home plans in cities that have a limited amount of room. However, city dwellers don”t have to live in cramped quarters. Luxury two story houses can easily be designed to make rooms have more than one use. For example, creating a den that can also be used as a guest room gives you a quiet area to study or read for the majority of the time, but with the option of turning into a bedroom for the few days or weeks your guests stay at your house. Pocket doors are another way to open up or close off space in any room, including bedrooms, pantries, dining rooms, and living areas. Large luxury two story houses can benefit from pocket doors to give you privacy with open floor plans whenever you need to accommodate large parties or small social gatherings.

Luxury two story home plans can easily use high-tech appliances in not only the gourmet kitchen, but for entertainment, security, and lighting. High-tech homes are growing in popularity as homeowners find how convenient this can make their daily lifestyle. Not only will they feel more secure in their luxury two story home, but they will have the option of controlling the devices by remote so they don”t have to take the time to visit each room to make sure every light is off.

It does not matter how careful a tobacco smoker is all of the time, accidents with fires still happen everyday in the United States. Sometimes they are lucky, if you can call it that, and a fire is caught and put out quickly before any real damage has been done. Other times it can cause a fire that is already raging out of control before you ever know it is going on. If you smoke and really do not want to give it up, but you worry about the safety of your home and family, it might be time for you to find a better way to get your nicotine.

One thing that people who use an electronic cigarette never have to worry about is setting their home on fire because they were careless with a cigarette. The electronic cigarette uses no fire. It is battery operated and never has to be lit. You simply plug your charger into an an outlet or you can use a USB charger right on your computer if you choose to and screw your battery stick into it and let it charge that way. When it is finished, your battery stick should be good for all day long.

You can use your e cigarette anywhere in your home without having to worry about leaving it lying around. You do not even need an ashtray with this device because there are no ashes. It can fall onto the floor, onto furniture, even on your bed and it will never hurt a thing. No more burn holes in your favorite clothes, belongings in the home or in your car. No more smelly ash trays to empty and wash and no more sticky tar residue on everything you own.

There is no doubt that the electronic cigarette is much safer and cleaner to use in your home or your car. Since there is no odor from the nicotine vapor that is produced, you do not even have to worry about that. Just think how much money you can save just by not damaging your clothes or any of your belongings. The cleaning bills for carpets, draperies, furniture and the rest of you home and car would pay for the e cigarette in no time. Since it is already cheaper to use an e cigarette in the first place, you will be saving more of your money than you even realized you would by switching from tobacco to this nicotine device.

One of the most misunderstood plants commercially produced and used is the coca plant. Most typically famous for being the species with which cocaine is made from, it has the stereotype of being a deadly plant. The coca plant has many medical and safe uses, which have been utilized by practitioners since the plant’’s discovery. That is the reason why it is also great for you to have these plants in making your herb garden.

The coca plant grows in South America, Africa, Ceylon, Taiwan, Indonesia and Formosa. It is most frequently famous for its presence in the Andes of South America, where the bulk of cocaine is produced. The 1st known written source of the species was in 1783, though it was not officially registered until 1786, where it was given the name Erythroxylum coca. However it is assumed the coca plant has been grown as a domestic species for over two thousand years. There’’s proof inside funeral sites of coca to loan credence to this idea.

Growing the coca plant requires diligence and effort. The life of the coca plant starts as a fruit, which is picked when the drupes are nearly ripe. These drupes are placed inside a basket and left to sit where the skin of the fruit becomes tender. Once this has occurred, the seeds are taken and the seeds are set in the sun for them to dry out. Only once this occurs, the seeds can be planted. The germination process would take around twenty-four days. Once the plant has acquired four leaves, they”re protected by a lattice covering for a year.

Once that urgent first year has finished, the plants are moved to preparation fields. This transport can only be done in the wet season. Three years after this transfer, some leaves might be gathered. Once the coca plant is ready to be processed, they”re gathered 3 or four times per year. An absolutely established acre of coca plants can yield 1,500 to 2000 pounds of leaf each year. While coca plants are annual, a field will be resown once each 20 years, as the quality of the plant fades over a period. The most common use of coca plants is in the popular cola, Coca-Cola. While this drink no longer contains cocaine, it’’s still made right from the coca leaf.

In starting your herb garden, as coca plants are so valuable, there are numerous steps taken to guard the crops from natural predators and illness. There are plenty of types of pests that prey on the coca plants, as well as fungus that will cripple or destroy the stalks, branches and leaves. Weeds may also be deadly to teen coca plants, as the weeds take away the soil of the nutriments the plants need for basic life. In making your own herb garden, it’’s good to understand that there also are some medical benefits with the coca plant. Contemporary medical uses of coca include use as a bactericide, as spinal anesthetics and as treatments for sicknesses like shingles and eczema.

Despite the widely held belief, there are several kinds of desert plants that live in dry conditions. These plants are quite strong, living on tiny nourishment, a great quantity of daylight, and conditions that would shrivel or kill many living things. Because these plants can endure in an environment many creatures don”t, desert plants don”t always make lasting house plants inside your herb garden. This permits the perfect chance to own a variety of plant that many folks don”t sometimes see close. These plants can serve as conversation starters, as well as adding a novel atmosphere to your house.

If you”re looking to grow desert plants in your home, there are some crucial things you need to recollect. Plants like the Apache Plume, the Arizona Poppy and the Blue Phacelia need a massive amount of heat and light. While they can survive the cold spikes of the desert night, these plants need an environment that mimic the desert to live. If you plan to grow any one of these plants in your home, you must take care to provide them a massive amount of light and be wary of over-feeding them.

When you think about desert plants, the most prominent desert plant to spring to mind is the cactus. Local cacti can grow to some feet tall, and typically don”t handle home life very well. Many need special greenhouses with synthetic lighting to survive. Do not be daunted, there are cactus species that may be grown inside for your pleasure. These include the Acanthocalycium klimpelianum, the Acanthocalycium spiniflorum, the Acanthocalycium thionanthum v. Variiflorum and the Acanthocalycium violaceum, as well as several kinds. All these cacti have a tendency to be little, round-shaped, and have one or many blossoms at the apex of the plant.

In planting them in your herb garden, like desert wildflowers, cacti require fragile care to remain healthy. Unlike the widely held belief, you can”t just forget your cactus and water it when you desire. They need a certain quantity of exposure to the sun, and booked watering. Without this, your plant will shrivel and be annihilated.

Cacti are among some of the most difficult plants to keep in a home, so you”ll need to approach their care with caution. Should you follow the few rules of owning desert plants -scheduled watering, correct heat and exposure to sunlight - you”ll be able to love your cacti and wildflowers for years to come inside your herb garden.

One of the reasons people remodel kitchens is because they are outdated. More than a matter of convenience, safety hazards in the home can prevent a kitchen from being a comfortable place the family can gather for meals and in between. There are three main safety issues that should prompt any homeowner to give their kitchen a facelift.

Appliances
Older homes are more likely to have older appliances. These everyday items eventually need to be replaced. Modern cook tops are one flat surface. They do not have removable grates or burners, making cleaning easier and grease build-up less likely. When turned off after using they cool very quickly, unlike the older electric models. Reducing fire hazards of greasy residue and hot metal surfaces improves safety.

Has the home’’s electrical system been upgraded recently? Make sure that the wiring can handle any new appliances. While redesigning the kitchen think about where each electrical appliance will be plugged in. Ask the custom remodeling contractor to verify that the electrical circuit can handle the load.

Storage
Opening a kitchen cabinet and having things fall out of it is one of the most obvious signs that it needs to be revamped. Another is tripping over objects stored in odd corners or partly tucked away in between walls, appliances and fixtures. While it might also be time to discard things that are never used or are partly broken, there will be time to do both with a remodeling project. By rearranging a few items and reducing the space required for appliances there will be more cabinet space. Careful planning for custom remodeling projects will assure a safer kitchen environment for everyone in it.

Making room for everything that is used regularly in a kitchen is crucial. If there are things sitting on the countertops because there is no storage space, this is a sure sign that a kitchen remodel is in order.

Usefulness
Carrying hot pans through the kitchen is a dangerous practice. With small children and older adults in the mix, it becomes harder to avoid tripping or bumping hazards. Statistics show that most scalding burn victims between six months and 9 years are affected by hot liquids and food spills in the kitchen area. Boiling hot water may burn not only people, but ruin flooring. Older floor finishes may melt or warp with extreme heat. As a result, uneven floors or slick and sticky surfaces make for even greater dangers in the kitchen. Try moving the proximity of the sink and stove. When they are closer together, the risks are lowered.

Upgrading countertop height to suit the homeowner will help reduce physical injury for frequent users. Back strain, for example, can be minimized when the cook does not have to bend over at awkward angles. On the other hand, people that rely on wheelchairs or walkers may need lower countertops that are high to avoid pulling down objects or injuring themselves trying to reach objects toward the back of the counter.

When thinking about how to keep the family safe at home, consider ways to make the kitchen less hazardous. This might include a remodeling project that will make a home look nicer and feel safer.
