The alligator clip attached to the clean copper plate must be connected to the positive terminal of your multi-tester. The other clip must be connected to the burned copper plate.

The next step is to prepare a salt solution. Mix the salt to tap water. Stir thoroughly until all the salt dissolves into the water. Pour the water into the jar. The salt solution must not cover the plates completely so that you can make adjustments later on when touching the water.

The complete set up is now ready to use. You now have a solar battery. If you can duplicate this setup and connect the wires in parallel, then you will have greater energy. This solar energy will be enough to light a single dwelling house. You may also put these solar panels on the roof for maximum exposure.
